Ramban - a popular synagogue in the Greek Colony has a learning program with talks scheduled from 11pm to am. For more details, check out their facebook event. The OU is having a seudah shlishit by advance reservation only 25 nis per head on the afternoon of the 19th May. There is also a 'festive dinner' later in the evening, again by advanced reservation at a cost of nis per head.
After dinner, they are having speakers every hour on the half hour from pm until the last talk that starts at pm. Shir Hadash are having an evening of learning at the home of Rabbi Pear in English on the 19th May from 11pm until the last talk which is scheduled to start at am.
The Hartman Institute are having an evening of study at their campus on the 19th May. Most of the talks are in Hebrew but there is an English speech scheduled for pm by Prof. Menachem Lorberbaum, titled "What Happened at Sinai? The festival commemorates the anniversary of the day God gave the Torah to the entire nation of Israel assembled at Mount Sinai, and it marks the start of the wheat harvest in the Land of Israel too.
The day is typically marked by the consumption of dairy products and fish, because before God gave his commandments his devotees were unsure of what kind of meat they would be permitted to eat.
