I see from a previous post it was to be replaced 2 years ago, but maybe services in the area are slow. We then made the discovery that the top floor on which our rooms were located was without water. We brought this to the attention of the staff, who tried their best to assist us. We were allowed the use of the bottom floor bathrooms, but alas, in these rooms there was no hot water. Again the staff came to our rescue by allowing us to make use of the one bathroom which did have hot water: in the staff area.

Needless to say it was quite something to see 8 women trapsing up and down stairs just to have a wash! The following morning we alerted the owner to our plight, and he assured us that it would be dealt with timeously. When we left for the afternoon there were indeed people checking out the situation.

We arrived home later in the evening, hopeful that the situation had at least partially been rectified, as I had received a message from Lawrence earlier saying that at least 2 of the rooms now had hot water. So we all agreed to share 2 bathroom between the 8 of us. However, after the first person had showered, we were back to cold water again.

On the Sunday, after we left, I sent a message again to Lawrence to update him on the situation. I expressed that we would appreciate some kind of a refund, due to the water situation. I was advised by Lawerence that I should make a claim to Ugu municipaltiy, as the problem lay with them, and the sludge that had been sucked into broken pipes had damaged his geysers.

I followed up this reply by informing him that clearly the water issue has been an ongoing issue and that not informing potential clients was quite underhanded, and that this was why we were asking for reimbursement.
